Dropseed Native Plant Nursery Workshops and Sale
This year Dropseed Native Plant Nursery will celebrate their Fall Open House with several workshops. The following workshops will occur on September 23, 2017 and are free and open to the public.
- 10-12:00 Native Seed Art
Jen and June Petry have won first place for their seed art in the Kentucky State Fair (adult and junior division). We are lucky enough to have them both here to share their techniques and inspire you to create your own ornament with native seed. All supplies provided, good for all ages.
- 2-3:30 Collecting Native Seed
Margaret Shea of Dropseed Nursery will show you how to successfully collect and store native seed. We will also discuss ways to maximize your seed germination.
Additional plant sales will be held September 30th and October 7th, from 9-4.
The nursery is open to the public by appointment outside open house dates and times.
